Not real close to this CometAnywhere machine, but got the impression that the machine has gone through a series of operating system updates recently finally landing on Windows XP Home.
When I asked how he got around the "16 bit error......", he said something about turning off/on a switch for 16 bit processing in the machine.
I am not familar with this switch and have not had a chance to look into it.
He did not elaborate overall and I did not pry, yet.
