Upgraded a customer from 2004 to 2005 yesterday with all the latest. Switched the workstations to Comet.exe and created COSW.INI in Doc & Settings.
Procedure on workstations.
1. Log in as administrator
2. Move COSW.INI from C:\Windows to Desktop
3. Install Comet 2005 workstation
4. Log in as User
5. Set up Comet.exe icon and add /PN
6. Run Comet to create a COSW.INI in Docs & Settings
7. Close Comet
8. Open old and new COSW.INI files and copy Color, Font, and etc to new file
9. Run Comet and check the colors, font settings etc.
Everything seemed fine until the users started to print. The font cpi settings were being ignored. I have default Font-0 set to 17cpi. It was printing at 10 (printer's default). Tried manual update of default settings. Tried entering font settings for the specific printer. No go.
Moved COSW.INI back to C:\Windows. Voila, 17cpi now works.
