I forgot to mention that my program is a child dialog. Last night I took a look at HowTo8 which is also a child dialog.
In HowTo8, if I click on an alpha field (name, address) it gets the focus (cursor). If I then click on another window and click back to the first window, the focus (cursor) is lost. If I click on a numeric field (phone, zip, balance) to set the focus and then do the same click away, click back the focus (cursor) does not get lost.
