The :RAW setting shouldn't affect the paper tray unless the driver is configured to output to a specific tray. This is not a Comet feature as it is set in the Windows Printer Properties. You are correct in that :RAW data is sent unaltered to the printer - but as mentioned earlier, the driver still has a say about how the printer behaves. When I want to output strictly raw data to a printer, I usually configure it as a Generic/Text printer so that there is little or no driver intervention.
