Which version of the Reporter? Sounds like maybe you are running a very old one and the interface to the compiler may be incorrect. You should be running either 03.01 or the Comet 2005 one (which you're not - I can tell by the reference to QREPMTB). If this is not the problem, please send the Comet.ini file.
You might also want to upgrade to .361 to solve some other problems. Check out the announcement below.
