I am wondering how an email attachment sent out with comet gets a name. When we generate a pdf with PdfFactory to send in an email it gets a name ATT{numeric value}.pdf. The email gets sent out by a mail server, in this case a Linux server. The email is sent to 2 different recipients. One receives the email as a .pdf file the other as a .dat file.. Changing the extension back will allow the file to open normally. This server does allow .pdf files to be delivered to it's clients. I'd like to know if there is a way to give the attachment a name. I’ve noticed that ATT{numeric}.dat files are often rejection notices from other servers and was thinking this might be confusing the server. It is confusing me.
