We think we understand what you're trying to do and we think you're not going about it in the best way. The error you're getting suggests that Comet is being started more than once. Using Terminal Services you can't see the system console so you don't know that Comet is running. Attempting to start Comet again could cause this problem. You need to be using Comet Anywhere if you're using Terminal Services. It only fires up a new session, not a full Comet.
However, if you're doing this so you can use UltraEdit, Comet Anywhere isn't what you want. We solve this on our corporate system using TightVNC. We've also used PCAnywhere. The advantage of these is that you get access to the console where Comet is running and you can use UltraEdit.
