Hello,
I would greatly appreciate any assistance with the below mentioned problem.
Several months ago I loaded Comet 2004 Version 3.31 on a Windows 2003 Server running XP workstations. When I attempted to run Comet I would receive the following Windows warning:
(Also see zipped attachment for image of warning or read below)
"Open File - Security Warning" "The publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software?"
Name: COSH.EXE
Publisher: Unknown Publisher
Type: Application
From: G:\FNC\REL
Run or Cancel
"This file does not have a digital certificate that verifies its publisher. You should only run software from publishers you trust."
When I selectthe Run option plus a few enters it would eventually run Comet.
We tried adjusting all the Windows security settings we could find and were not able to eliminate the warning.
I found a work around by loading the REL sub directory on each users workstation and redirecting the .ini file to look for rel on the C: drive.
The problem now is that a remote location is starting to use Comet with Terminal services and the work around does not work. For some reason Windows has a problem with REL file probably COSH going accross the network.
If someone has ever encountered this situation or has any suggestions I would greatly appreaciated any assistance.
