Customer running Comet2005 .354 & ServerProducts 505
Had been a while for a need to change the .INI & .CFG files.
Recently had to add a printer to their SYSGEN & .INI file.
When option 1 of SYSGEN was ran, received several errors because of how the printers were configured:
Printer = LPA,N,N,,\\WPPDC01\COMET\PR1\LPA,,;
Getting an error because the Type N was no longer supported.
Had the customer change the Type N to Type X & add the DES program EXTPTR.
So the new SYSGEN configuration looks like:
Printer = LPA,X,N,,\\WPPDC01\COMET\PR1\LPA,EXTPTR,;
Option 1 of SYSGEN runs without errors.
However when the customer trys to print to LPA, they get a message that says "PRINTER IS NOT TURNED ON OR CONFIGURED"
The customer has several(LPA - LPZ) of these printers configured to capture TEXT output reports.
Up to today the customer has actively using these printers without problems.
How do we setup SYSGEN & printers to perform as before????
