When uninstalling CometAnywhere (and I imagine Workstation as well, though I've not tested), the following DLL's are removed from the system:
msvbvm60.dll
mfc70.dll
mfc71.dll
mfc42.dll
msvcirt.dll
msvcp60.dll
msvcp70.dll
msvcp71.dll
msvcr70.dll
msvcr71.dll
msvcrt.dll
Sadly, a lot of other applications use these. The uninstaller seems to forcibly delete them, regardless of whether or not they're being used by other applications.
(It took a couple of hours to get my home system working again, since it wouldn't even boot into safe mode after "msvcp60.dll" was removed.)
Reproduced using VMware: Install CometAnywhere, reboot. Install any app that uses one of those DLL's (in my case, the VMware tools package), reboot. Uninstall CometAnywhere, reboot -- VMware tools complains about missing DLL's and refuses to launch.
Since these are commonly shared libraries, I think it would make more sense to leave them alone; disk space isn't at that much of a premium that 2mb can't be spared to prevent headache.
