Ecomet pdf assistance

We are starting on phase 2 of our Ecomet development. Phase 1 went well thanks to help from Robert Laurin. This time I need some help with accessing pdf files. Robert hinted that pdf files can be accessed using relative addressing but I can't seem to get it to work. What is the mechanism to access pdf files?
