Sorry, I have not kept up with this discussion, however I have a problem with rename in the old utilities and it may be related.
Doing my end of month om my own accounts and at the end I archive some files by renaming them. I received a strange error which I put down to bad luck and found only 1 of 4 files had renamed. I renamed the one back to what it was so I could run the procedure again and hey presto the file was gone. Part of it was still in the old directory and empty and none of it was in the new directory. However I dont know that it was fully there before I started.
So I statred to play around and when I rename a file, it copies the file to the new directory, removes the .i00 portion of the file and then crashes with error 99/74. Error message attached.
That was on 606.366 ^ 5.06
I installed the latest 606.367 & 6.02 . SAme result.
