I wanted to set up a RAW laser printer thinking that there would be no "interference" from Comet. I'm working on some form changes for a customer, just aquired, who has never had fonts set in COSW.INI. I want to give them the ability to print reports from Comet to their HP4100 and inkjet printers.
At my office, I set up a clone of my LP1 printer (HP4+) called LPR and made it RAW. However, print jobs (DIRCAT and the forms print), get an extra LF at the top of each page and are using my default 6LPI.
The printer is set for Courier, 10CPI, and 60 lines per page. 60 lines per page give a line height of .175" while 6LPI gives .167.
If I remove all the entries in the [Printer Fonts] section of COSW.INI. The the extra LF goes away and the line height goes to .175.
