I want to refresh my knowledge of eComet so I am running the demo. In the demo programs I find Javascript statements:

(script language='javascript' src='http://127.0.0.1:1053/js.cgi?pa&r=4833)(/script) "(" replace the you know whats that I can not include in this message as they will be eaten.
that are not created by the Internet Basic source programs.
I am confused.
Are these statements necessary?
How did they get into the finished HTML if they are not in the IB source?
