Comet Database and Java

Hello Comet Experts,

I'm am currently in the process of writing a multi-threaded client/server Java application for our business that handles returns and refunds of merchendise.

Is there any way for me to retrieve data from the Comet database using ODBC or by any other means? All I need is a few SELECT statements to just display the data. I won't be changing or updating anything in the databse.

Any comments or code examples would be greatly appreciated.

PS.
We are currently using Comet 2003 with the File and Security Servers.
We do have the option to upgrade if needed.
