The problem in #1 is interesting. It's the "#" in the filename that's causing the grief. When the program compares the next file name with the end of the range selected, it is comparing the entire name, including the extension. Because "#" has a lower value than ".", it thinks it should copy the next file. I guess this means the extension part of the name needs to be compared separately from the rest. This program is a never-ending source of grief for us!
