got the same results with the error code = 2.
thinking that the getsigw.exe is the problem, I copied notepad.exe into the same folder and attempted to execute the notepad.exe instead of getsigw.exe. Got the windows explorer window opening up showing the c:\twain1 folder. I am going to try launching in another folder and advise results.
