Jim - found the problem. I've included 2 print screens. I wrote the INVPATH$ to a sequential file and viewed. It appears that in cometanywhere mode, comet throws in a "@00@" at the end of the path, while in full comet mode comet does not. I will throw in some logic stripping out any "@00@" and see what happens.
