Apparently so.

I renamed IDFILE and tried again. Nope.

I stopped and restarted Comet. Nope.

I rebooted host and started Comet. Nope.

Built a new IDFILE. The CAW remotes finally connected with "new" CAID.

Renamed IDFILE and made the whole {expletive deleted} mess go away.
