Francisco:
You do not need a COM license to compile with UltraEdit or to use Visual Studio to create .dlls for use with your Windows programs. Here is a list of features which, at this time, do require a COM license:
- Comet Explorer
- any application created using a COM-compliant language such as Visual Basic or C++
- any IB application using the (Document=) mnemonic. This would include DocMgr and the email printer
A COM license is given free to all XAP users and all users with an unexpired subscription.
