Found a problem, Comet 2K5 & 2K6 371 and before, with (SetPrinterInfo = PI.DMCOPIES, 2) and pdfFactory.

If I direct the print to the pdfFactory driver, which ignores the copies command, the LPI changes from 6LPI to 6.4LPI or so. Or, the LPI is being auto adjusted so that the text fills the page. If the copies command is REM'd out, the LPI is not changed and the PDF views and prints as it should. I use Adobe Reader to view and print. If I turn on the pdfFactory dialog, the view and print are the same as Adobe. I don't have Adobe Acrobat.

I've uploaded PDF examples of copies,2 and copies REM'd out.

I took this up with pdfFactory Tech Support and they said ...

grant,

pdfFactory does not change the lpi or anything else. it just records what got printed to it. my guess is that there is a problem in your code that changes the lpi if the copies is used. again, we do not change any printing arguments. lpi is not at all relevant to pdfFactory, it is relevant only in your application. you may need to special case this if the solution is not obvious. there is nothing we can do on this end.
