EXCP= 0

I have a file that i have been using for years that suddenly displays EXCP= 0 in the options box in the old uilities - maint. I recreated the file on adifferent directory and after using the new one for a little while I now get this same excp., it displays the key but no record.
Running c2k5 - 558.
