No one is going to believe me, but I experienced this again and again.
I changed the printer address in the Devine INI and recompiled the INI file. I then restarted Comet and checked the printer address using the DS option in the monitor. (Just to check the address, not to determine whether or not the printer worked). And to my confusion and amazement the printer address did not change.
Then I closed Comet and manually restarted it and this time the address changed.
And I did this at least half a dozen times. I have no explanation, but I was very very confused.
