The log file doesn't show any errors. This is strange. Try this... When it hangs, look in the TMP folder for the .ibs file that is the source for the program running (this is the 'SPECPxx program). Try compiling and running it yourself, outside of the Data Express system. Make sure to change the last line of the source code to "STOP" instead of "EXIT" or else you'll get an error doing the EXIT with no ENTER pending. If that program doesn't hang then the problem may be in the link to EXCEL.
