Louisa - I just repeated the steps that you followed on my machine and it worked just fine by manually opening a .csv file and right clicking and doing an open with and then selecting excel. would you mind posting your file? I'm also on version 9.0 of excel. Curious to see what your file will do. By the way, are you using the xp home or professional?
