I agree with this. Waiting for Comet explorer on some of our larger directories can be frustrating. 1. Refresh on demand, 2. Filter 3. direct access to a file (could be tied to the filter).
Picture starting Comet explorer, displaying the tree down the left, and a couple options at the top:
[checkbox] autorefresh Filter [editfield] Sort [file, date, etc]
This way, we could pick a couple options before clicking on the first directory. If i just want to see data files that begin with C, i could put C*.* in the filter field, then click on our datafile directory. Changing options at the top would apply to subsequent clicks on other directories. Just a couple ideas...
