Marc,

Thanks a million, I have a solution.

When EASY SCAN is active the input variable does not CONTAIN the value of the key stroke. The value of the Key Stroke is contained in STS(0),8,1.

However, when FULL SCAN CODES PASSED is activated the value of the keystroke IS CONTAINED in the input variable itself. NOW TELL ME WHERE IN THE IB DOCUMENTATION DOES IT MAKE THIS DISTICTION?

The easy scan documentation even gives an example of how to find the key pressed. However the full scan codes passed documentation does not.

I still do not understand why my keyboard does not acknowledge a transmit on "alt 1 thru alt 0", "alt q" etc. So I am trapping "ctrl f1 thru ctrl f10" instead.

Thanks again,

Francisco.
