Greg - how are you getting the path of the from file before doing the copyfile? And is this comet anywhere? I had an issue where the getdiralis where in a comet anywhere mode the result included an extra "@00@" at the end of the path, but if you displayed it on the screen, it 'appeared' to be fine. It also worked fine in full comet mode. IF you are using the getdiralias instruction, you may want to dump the "from" path to a file so you can look at it in hex mode.
