Hi,
We are new to Comet and I have been working with Marc Shevick.
We are uing Comet 2006.373.
All of our folders are C type.
We have a server running comet services.
The comet executables are installed locally on client PC's
My problem is with SNOVA. Unless my clients have access to a \\server\comet share SNOVA does not work for me.
When I run it with the share it works fine and installs the toolbar.
When I run it without the share, (from READY R SNOVA) the following occurs.
1) First the Comet screen clears, then displays "Scanning Tool File: "TFSYSTEM", "UTL"
2) Then a windows message box (with no title bar) pops up that says. "Can't get information on file:" < but the file name is blank.
3) Press the okay button on the message box.
4) Get another message box: with title bar "Comet - Remote File Delivery System" and a message of "Verify Pass Failed - file generation aborted."
5) Press the okay button on that message box.
6) The comet screen quickly displays a couple more lines, then returns to the READY prompt.
I have experimented setting the directories as indicted \\server\e$\comet and obtained the same result.
Any idea if I have a configuration problem?
Thanks.
