I've been using the free Windows Defender for a few weeks and have had no problems. In it's Tools there's an option for "Software Explorer". If you've ever looked at Task Manager and tried to figure out what each process was doing and where it came from, then "Software Explorer" is the place to go. It gets the properties and more for every process and displays them by publisher. You can also get info on Winsock and which ports the PC is listening to.

My piddly point. CometNTService.exe needs to have the publisher added and CfamNetService.exe needs to have the "." at the end of "Inc" to get the Signature processes to be in one group. All tidy and professional :)

Digitally signed would be nice too.

No software has triggered a Windows Defender "event" so I haven't had the opportunity to send a report to the MS SpyNet. Should Comet be in this database as "good" software?
