Just got back from a customer. The power company shut off their power over the weekend. The LAN manager came in Sat AM and shut down the servers. The users shut down their XP PC's Friday PM.
Monday AM, users fire up their PC' (30 plus). Three have "quirky" problems. All three are AMD's with generic motherboards. Assistant to the LAN manager says "it always seems to be the AMD's". Like me, he can't tell if it's CPU or motherboard.
Is this kind of hassle worth the extra cost of buying Intel, or buying AMD PC's from a major company. The old "pay me now or pay me later" dilemma.
