OK, it ran for a couple of hours after the main suspected culprits installed CAINSTALL. Eventually it froze again, but who knows who was dialling into where. After rebooting server and re-installing 6.11 & 375 just in case, I fired up PCA & CA , running fine. Then I fired up another session of CA and tried to do a Caupdate. Today it is asking me what version of CA I want to install. Is it asking this because I have the CAUPD thing turned off ?
Also what is the answer ?, I have tried many convoluted versions of 375, 2006.375, .375 etc . It flashes gibberish at the top of the screen and then comes back to the question.
