I've only done one like this so far.
Parent program opens the DLL and displays the screen. One of the buttons is to set the date. Clicking DATE ENTERs the date program, a child, and it open the same DLL. All it's settings are self contained and I don't pass anything from the parent. User clicks on the Calendar and then OK. Date program closes and I'm back to the parent.
