As is is usual Grant, you got me. There does appear to be a conflict between the way the control panel applet is installed and the ability to configure the tray icon. The control panel applet is installed with the server which doesn't happen on many client machines with CFAM. I'll look into enabling the option to allow/disallow the tray icon.
I havn't a clue about the "Advanced" tab values. I need talk to Barbara about that.
I take it you were forcing a CFAM shutdown while connections were active by opening the CFAM log and and selecting "shutdown" from the file menu. Is that correct? If so, what were the circumstances requiring the shutdown? That may give me a clue as to subsequent behavior.
