I agree about "N". Didn't think CFAM is involved.
The two directories were "N" before so I didn't change them. Only one user uses them and he switches between his "developer" and "live". I'll look at making them "C" later.
The XFR directory that went corrupt and was still bad after a rebuild does look like a QDIR cache problem. I emptied the folder and killed the QDIR completely. The rebuilt XFR, empty, list fine with DIRCAT. I didn't add any files to XFR as we we're downgrading to 6.08.
