Hey Joe, this looks like same issue I was talking to you about when I upgraded comet site last week. They upgraded to CometServerproducts611, CometWorkdstation2006, UTL0604, REL0605.

In your case, your getting the TCP/IP message coming up, I'm my case it was a message about 'no password required' (my guess is it's from smtp server) and you get it just after the HELO (you'll see if it you include LOG= when printing to email printer). Look at a good log and a bad log. I forwarded samples to Barbara last week. You should notice that the HELO is EHLO, apparently it may be a valid SMTP protocol command, but I think comet driver isn't expecting it and the parsing assumes there is an error. The different HELO command seems to produce the extra line of dialog. The whole "square dance" comes to a halt.

My work around was to put back the older email driver. The file is located in REL and called "EMAILPTR.OBJ". The bad one has a date of 9/20/2006 and the one I've been using for more than a year has a date of 3/4/2005.
