1) email :) - I've attached TXT and stuff like that but not a DOC file. The old email program had examples. One was a JPG attachment. Might help.
2) export a file from Comet of the users, import that file into Word as a Mail Merge, and print to the FAX. Bet there's a way to do this with a script.
