Using my high resolution dialog (Lucida Console 20), I got Left = 0, Right = 1280, Top = 0 and Bottom = 675. I made
cosWidth = cosRight - cosLeft
the column title fit exactly and there was no second column "separator". Still got the horizontal scroll bar but it was about the 1/4" you mentioned.
Using my medium resoltion dialog (Lucida Console 14), I got, 0,880,0,and 475. The column title and horizontal scroll bar were the same as the high resoltion display.
