The article explains what went by too fast in the demo. After creating a simple Word .docx file and saving it to the desktop, the presenter renamed in to .zip. He then opened the ZIP file and went directly to the "document" file and opened that in Notepad. It took about twenty lines of XML to be the wrapper for "This is cool!". He changed the text to "This is very cool!" and reversed the process. He reopened the docx file in Word and the changed text displayed.
