Personally I prefer LetterGothic which is narrower than Lucida Console but still is fixed pitch.

I also include this after the GDI.InitFontLog to make sure that the stupid Windows does not substitute another font:

lfPitchAndFamily$ = INTEL(FIXED.PITCH+FF.DONTCARE)

LetterGothic can be found on most HP Laser printer installation disc.
