CONDENSE

In reading the forum I see(Jan 2007) that Condense was/is NOT to be used on files larger then 756. And there is a note that Condense utility is going to be "disabled", however I see on UTL0701 it is still available. Does this mean it has been fixed to handle larger files???
If we are not to use Condense, what is the current alternative to performing a Condense on a Directory, besides running Copy?
Would CometEx have a Condense option in the near future?
