You say the printers all go away, but you only mention one printer. So, do all printers go away? LP2 is an excp printer. Does LP1 go away? Please attach your ini file to the reply.
At the ready screen, when you look at the printer, does ALL the information look correct? I am thinking that maybe ODBC is clobbering a table entry somewhere. The status of INOP means error 30. The other possible error would be excp=31 which is "device not found" in the device table.
