Comet on Vista

One of my customers has a Vista PC on order and being Friday afternoon, I decided to install Comet 2007 on my office Vista Home Premium PC.

Installed 7.01 restarted. In XP, I'd get a "dongle not found" message. Plug it in and keep going. Nada from Vista. Until the next CometServer update you need to download "CBUSetup.zip" of April 2007 from Marx.com and install their Vista upgrade.

Maybe because this is Vista Home Premium, but the "Docs and Settings" folder is flagged as "Protected System" and even when the View settings are changed you are denied access. The folder also shows zero bytes. Has a little blue arrow juts like the shortcut arrow.

With "Docs and Settings" gone, where does the cosw.ini get built. Ha, new system folder called "ProgramData". Full path is C:\ProgramData\Signature Systems\cosw.ini. Right after "Program Files".

Maybe this will change when I upgrade the PC to Vista Business and attach it to my network.
