You are on the hairy edge of "comet features". Through the years some people have insisted on directory names with blanks in them such as "A R". Comet was not designed to support these wierd names, so it has been patched through the years to allow blanks.

There have been cases where program source code was lost, and programs could not be changed, and they had hard coded dir names!

I bet blanks in dir names will not work consistently throughout the whole Comet Product line. I would suggest you stick with the convention that dir names are 3 characters with no blanks allowed.

I believe dir names are case insensitive.

DSTAT works with DEVICE names, not DIR names. Device namess are 3 character strings where the starting character designates the device type. Thus L = printer, C = clock, T = terminal, D = disk, and G = gateway.

The DSTAT of any 3 character name beginning with a C will get you the dstat of the clock.

Disks are named D00, D01, D02 etc. It looks like "D" is interpreted as "D00". I am not surprised, seeing as how assembly language works.

I sure hope this was clear enough.
