When a page asks for a resource (html file, image, java script, css file etc), that is not an xap program, Comet automatically attempts to run a program called webserve in the xap directory.
In the past we have advocated serving those resources from another web server than xap. Recently, we have come to believe that webserve performs as well or better than other web servers.
The problem you are experiencing probably has to do with the use of a relative link vs. a fully qualified URL on one of your pages. If you give me a link to your pages, I may be able to find it.
