Surprised Qantel Systems still work after 20+ years. haven't turned mine on in years, I wonder?? Here's some general rules of thumb. I wrote QACCESS to work with QTERM hooked up to a Qantel..

#1. Use a mucher slower PC. No more than a 233 Mhz. Any newer PC and it out clocks Qantel and it messes up badly.
#2. Stay with DOS 6.2 and if you must, don't go past Windows 98. Too many problems..
#3. Hook QTERM PC to it's own 39 controller with no other terminals attached. 19.2 works great..
#4. To speed transfers up, hook up multiple PC's to multiple 39's (one on one) and run similtaneously. PC's have to be
networked and all writes go to the file server.

Good luck. You'll be surprised. It's not the 1980's anymore...
