I have a standalone program running a client's remote sites (four) that uses the PAUSE statement. Every 5 seconds (pause (90)) the program opens up a folder on the local machine and checks for the presence of any files (using firstfile/nextfile instructions). If a text file is found, the program then opens that file and generates an invoice. My problem is that after 10-15 minutes of inactivity, the program just stops. I've turned off screen savers, power savers, any kind of 'savers' I can think of. The program just hangs. I'm displaying times the folder search happens. It works fine for a while and then stops. The only was to resolve is to clobber the comet session and relaunch. This is happening at all for remote sites. Am open to ideas.
