FYI,

As I had to revisit emailing with a new .net project...

(See also: http://support.signature.net/messages/3620.htm)

It is possible to bypass the Outlook Object Model Guard.
For details see this http://www.outlookcode.com/article.aspx?id=52

The way to get around the security in Outlook is to use
Extended MAPI instead of MAPI.

Extended MAPI is directly only programmable through C++ and from my understanding does get quite involved.

But wrappers are available and the above link refers to a couple ways to get around the security.

The wrapper I found for my VB.Net project is...
http://www.codeproject.com/internet/CMapiEx.asp

As a side note, if I am following what I have read, in Outlook 2007, as long as Outlook sees an upto date AntiVirus solution, the security block is disabled.
