The authentication is done from entries made in the email.ini file, not by using mnemonics. The link below shows you the syntax for the statements. The email.ini file is opened without the DIR= parameter so it may be in any accessed Comet directory.
It would be best if you were running the latest versions of Comet 2006 and REL.
