Comet-as-Service NOT working on VISTA???

On a Windows VISTA Business pc, we installed COMETSERVE32 v7.03 and COMET2007WorkStation383. We specified that COMET is to be loaded as a service during installation of COMET2007WorkStation383.

The system event logs indicate that COMETSERVICES and COMETASSERVICE both started successfully (respectively). However, the console icons for Cometserve32 and CometAsService are missing from the System Tray.

Does this mean that COMET is NOT running as a SERVICE on Vista? Why?
